The first Ofsted Inspection of Tollgate Campus as an academy within the Bury St Edmunds All-Through Trust took place in May 2017. We were judged to be a 'Good' school. You can read the full report below.
“We are absolutely delighted that Tollgate has been officially recognised as ‘Good’ by Ofsted. The Ofsted report is tremendously positive and we are determined to use it as a springboard towards ‘Outstanding’ as we continue the improvements we have seen over the last 18 months or so. This is a justified reward for all the hard work of the whole team – teachers, support staff, governors, parents and of course our wonderful children – I thank all of them for their commitment and contribution to Tollgate. It also reflects, as the Ofsted inspectors note, the real value that has been added by Tollgate joining the All-Through Trust. Parents can be sure that their children are very well taught through an exciting curriculum, kept safe and happy within a disciplined but friendly environment and benefit from the extensive range of extra opportunities and support provided through the All-Through Trust.”
Chair of Governors, Dr Chris Pamplin
“I am so thrilled for everyone – children, parents, staff, governors and the wider community for this so obviously well-earned report. It has simply confirmed all I have seen and heard on my visits to the school and I am really looking forward to joining the Tollgate team, and the wider Trust, in September.”
